Presswood International in Ermelo has succeeded in gaining the PEFC certificate. This serves as a guarantee for buyers of Presswood pallets that the company uses wood from sustainably managed forests. PEFC stands for Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification schemes.

This organisation performs so-called forest certification audits. PEFC carries out worldwide research into whether forests are managed sustainably.

This is the case when social, ecological and economic aspects and international agreements play a role. Finally, the certificate serves as a guarantee for buyers of wood, paper and biomass products that they are promoting the sustainable management of forests. Presswood is pleased with the certificate, because it considers corporate social responsibility and the environment matters of importance.

Companies attach an increasing amount of importance to these efforts, yet these are not the only reason they choose Presswood wood fibre pallets. The pallets also occupy much less space than traditional wooden pallets and they are produced in standard shapes and sizes. Additional advantages are that nails and screws are not required and that they eliminate the risk of splinters. International transport firms use the Presswood pallets because they also comply with ISMP 15 regulations.
